ESP Private Agents
Welcome. This is the documentation for ESP Private Agents — Espressif's platform for building AI agents and running them where you want them.
You bring your data, your tools, your prompts. The platform gives you a place to build agents and run them — in a browser, on an ESP device, or in your own AWS account.
Pick where to start
- New here? → How It Works — the whole system at a glance.
- In a hurry? → Quick Start — board to talking in 10 minutes.
Then drill into the section that matches you:
| You are... | Read |
|---|---|
| An end user chatting with agents | End User Guide |
| An admin building agents | Admin Guide |
| A maker flashing or modifying the device firmware | Firmware |
| Pairing a device or assigning agents from your phone | Mobile App |
| A developer building a custom client | WebSocket Protocol and the REST API Reference |
Not sure what a term means? See the Glossary.
Two ways to run it
- Espressif's hosted platform — sign up at agents.espressif.com, point a device at it, done. Easiest path; runs in Espressif's cloud.
- Your own AWS account — deploy the whole stack via CloudFormation. You own the data and the keys. See the Deployment Settings guide.
